Prerna Tandon​

Prerna is a management professional with an Economics Honours and an MBA from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and over 20 years of experience in the corporate sector in India with organizations such as Price Waterhouse, USAID, GE Capital, Infosys, ANZ Bank and State Street Corporation. She has held several senior level positions and has been part of start up teams (especially in the outsourcing/offshoring industry) and has been responsible for profitably growing the businesses that she has been part of.

 

Prerna has specifically been responsible for setting up, in addition to Knowledge Services practice at Infosys BPO, HR Outsourcing Services, one of the first separate HR Outsourcing units in India with global innovative services. Under her leadership the technology bundled SaaS offering was one of the first to be offered extensively to global clients. Prerna has keen appreciation of technology and how it can be applied in operations environment.

Prerna as part of initial team at GE Capital carried out several leadership positions in areas of Business development and relationship, Operations and Six Sigma/Quality and Operational Excellence.

Prerna has led large scale transformations in ANZ Bank and State Street Corporation. She leads global corporate shared services in State Street in Bangalore.

 

Prerna is known to use a constructive, results driven, people and team oriented approach in solving business problems.

Prerna has championed Womens Networking groups in GE, Infosys, ANZ and State Street Corporation

Prerna belongs to Chandigarh, has spent most of her growing up years in the north of India, predominantly Delhi or traveling both for work and pleasure. Daughter of a Professor of Economics of Panjab University, she has embibed values of righteousness, compassion and simplicity. She is married to Rajesh Sehrawat, also a senior corporate executive in the retail industry and lives in Bangalore for the last ten years.

Prerna has been profiled in several publications including Business Today and Business India. She has been writing articles for some leading newspapers like Economic Times, Times of India in mid part of her career and leading industry magazines such as Global Services, Human Resource Executive Online, Payroll UK. Additionally, she has anchored some SHRM monthly forums.

She maintains a keen interest in economic and social affairs, economics and management research, academics and teaching in her spare time. Excellence & passion for what you do is her mantra.

Maintaining diverse interests in sports and theatre, she believes life is much about what you get from it as it is about what one gives back to life and society. She is member of think tanks like Aspen Institute, Bangalore International Center among others. Prerna is also a member of Lead Angels, an angel investor network. She is also a mentor for startups at NUMA, a French incubator.

She plays golf, is learning bridge, and is involved in several philanthropic pursuits. She runs Leora Trust (girl child empowerment through education), founding member of WOW (Women Orbiting Women – women entrepreneurship in rural areas) and Art Mantram in Bangalore. She is on the board of Cansupport.
