Uday Birje

Uday Birje has over 30 years’ experience in IT, Telecom & Network industry. He began his career in HCL-Hewlett Packard & later moved to Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), the World’s 2^nd largest Computer Company, in 1992 in Bengaluru. Uday launched & set up DEC’s.

Networking Products division for India & South Asia. During his tenure at DEC, he architected & executed of some of the largest Networks in India that included the VSNL’s Internet Gateway Network, Konkan Railway Network etc . In 1998 he was appointed as the Managing Director for India & South Asia for Cabletron Systems the No:2 US based Networking major.

He is a mentor & jury of India Innovation Challenge an initiative of Texas Instruments, Government of India & IIM Bangalore since 2017. He has been involved with the PAN IIT Global Conference and the PAN IIM World Management Conference to evaluate “India’s Top Startups”. He was part of “Smart 50” initiative of IIM Calcutta & “Bengalthon”.

Uday is a “Mentor for Change” under the Atal Innovation Mission of NITIAayog, Government of India ,IIM Bangalore, IIM Lucknow, BMS College of Engineering, Sahyadri College of Engineering, Presidency College, New Horizon College of Engineering, Tumkur University & many other top Institutions in India.
